Welcome to the Wirksworth Team Ministry website

Greetings

We are a group of Anglican churches found in the Derbyshire Dales. Many of our ten churches are historic buildings found at the centre of village life, and our largely rural communities vary in size from 150 to 5000 people.

We seek to minister to the spiritual needs both of our congregations, and the communities in which our churches are found.

We are committed to the wider vision of the Church of England, which for centuries has provided places of Christian celebration, and a focus for all of life's significant events. If you are visiting the area as a tourist, then you are very welcome to call in.

Many of the churches in the team are open daily simply for you to look around or to spend time in prayer. If you have recently moved to the area, and are looking for a place to worship, then feel free to join us either on Sunday or at any of the other occasions when our churches are involved in community activities.

Details of our churches and service times are to be found on this website. Should you wish to be in touch with me directly, then please email me at david.truby@btinternet.com , or ringme on 01629 822858.TheTeam Ministry office is openon weekday morningson 01629 824707. With my best wishes. Yours in Christ; Canon David Truby (Team Rector)

Have a look at our events page to see what is happening around our team of churches and to find out about next Sunday's services.

Look out for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations which are nearly upon us.

Congratulations to Revd Andrew Taylor Cook as he prepares to take up his appointment as Chaplain to the Deaf Community for the dioceses of Peterborough and Oxford.

St Mary's has been used as a backdrop for a recent recording by local guitarist Derek Taylor. The recording can be seen on You Tube at
